The purpose of our group is to provide a different approach to support systems. We help members to express their struggles in a space that is safe, productive, and therapeutic. This space is for all people affected by PTSD and suicide, including friends, family, current and former first responder, all are welcome. We work to educate current and former first responders about the symptoms and effects of PTSD and how to recognize and process those symptoms and ask for help. Hold Strong Inc will teach the community about the prevalence PTSD in law enforcement that often goes un talked about and untreated which leads to the rising number of suicide. No one should suffer in silence and the goal of ‘Hold Strong’ is to help make sure no one does.
Within the ‘Hold Strong’ team we give members the ability to work on creating an off-road race vehicle for the goal of racing the Baja 1000. While building this vehicle members are be able to share their experiences, traumas, and struggles in a productive therapeutic way. The team will meet, race, and attend events together to help spread awareness of the growing number of first responders with PTSD and suicide. Within this space members can speak openly and honestly without judgement of their struggles. We strive to provide emotional and financial support to officers and families who have lost a life to suicide or have decided to leave the department for mental health reason.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and provide help to those who need it. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
